>>In this Malibu, was i crazy? Yup...."i got a 2 month suspension.(Year 1961)"<<

what year was that Malibu?

How can you be driving a freaking Malibu in 1961, when the first one didn't roll off the line till '64?

Geez Max, either you are baiting me, or you are a major BSer,
which is it? I suspect the latter.....

<<i pinned that car at 120 many times--yes i was crazy:)>>

Not crazy, just young and bullet proof.

We did the same thing in the mid 80's in Mississippi. And it helped to know the movers and shakers with the local law enforcement.

A Trans Am damn near flys like a plane when you hit the secondary levee bump doing 120+. That car sits in the garage today. (And on second thought maybe it needs to be sold before the 10 year old turns 16.)

But you know what? All that clowning around crap sure taught you how to handle a car though. Kids these days don't have a clue. When it iced or snowed we hit the mostly abandoned shopping center parking lot for fun and games. Nobody ever said a word to us.

Today you'd get put under the jail.

Learned to drive in a 69 Goat.

Speedo went to 120. When the needle got to around where 135 would have been, it would just spin around the dial.

Bends in the interstate felt like tight corners.

All this at ~2AM with zero traffic around.

Speedo died after about the fourth time I "spun" it.

Ahh, the good old days.
