Doug:

CPQ has been using a Via chispet in some of their Deskpro series (since about six mths. if I am not wrong) already.

From a technical standpoint it is easy to switch between the intel processor solution to AMD with a Via chipset. Both are supported (unlike intel PCI chipset that only supprts intel, duh!).

However, I would not bet on CPQ going for AMD micro-Ps if what you say is true: i.e. no volume due to low yield chez AMD.

Take care for now

Kai
