bearcat; Population density defines the applicability of high speed rail - not political payoffs! So what's your ideas for the future bearcat? More congested highways making Americans even more inefficient and buying even more oil from our enemies that hate us - making them rich? Good gawd think man! Think past today. There is more and more of us all the time and to think that more cars is the answer is just absolute stupidity. Sure in Montana or North Dakota - but we damn well better come up with some alternative in most of the country or we will end up a third world country as we spend all our time in traffic hell holes.
