One thing for sure, Q's service businesses loose lots of shareholder's money and that intention has never changed.

Good points GI. I agree. They are flexible though, which could mean slippery, or it could mean they have found some previously unanticipated revenue models which were at least surprising to me.

I have to intervene and beat Mqurice to the following point. He would be emphatic in saying that Qualcomm doesn't "loose" lots of sharholder's money unless you mean it as in "cut loose" lots of shareholder's money - which they do of course. Instead you meant that they "lose" lots of shareholder's money. This is almost as bad as the apostrophe mistake for mq and would generate even more wasted verbiage than I have wasted aleady if we let mq discover this.

I agree, except that OmniTRACS has made money from the day QCOM went public late in 1991.
