I mean it's not looking good for Globalstar possibly having a gap between having one type of device available and the other [as they wrote could happen]

Judging by the quality of the Qualcomm Globalstar phone, having another supplier won't improve quality. Presumably the price will be better. Hopefully the quality won't be worse.
