I think you are misreading if you think that there isn't a consensus on that.

My little broadside about health insurance companies making money by denying coverage does call for one rather large exception. My impression, and it's only that, is that if you are ensured through your workplace, that doesn't apply. It applies to folk who have to buy their own. Which, incidentally, is a rapidly growing portion of the population.
