What you say sounds unbelievable Elroy, but my nephew lived with me for a summer when he had just graduated from high school.

I asked him how, since he wasn't interested in working, he intended to buy a car, get a place of his own, establish credit, get credit cards, etc.

He believed at some point, these things would be given to him. His girlfriend had gotten a credit card offer in the mail, which she immediately used for a cash advance to get a crap car. The interest for the cash advance was 25.99%!

I imagine he's still waiting today..
