Frankly your government screwed up not on the health care premise (my opinion).. but on execution.. placating the insurance companies for one.. forcing folks to pay insurance out of pocket in that fashion (even with subsidies) in lieu of a tax was asking for trouble.. and involving the tax department for non subscribers... rubs salt into the wounds.. It would be enough to pi$$ off a Canuck ... pissing off doctors (no offense to the doctors here) and the insurance companies would have been better politically .. but now they have managed to pi$$ off as many folks as possible... They didn't take the bold step..

EDIT: It appears that socialized health care is just like democracy... IT SUCKS... but it sucks less than everything else.. unless you're a Gates or a Buffet I guess..

US and Canada were pretty close health wise before Canada went with universal health care.. Canada blue US green
