Hello Steve,
Did you read the Oct 27 Barrons interview with John Makin re:

Global Deflation. Our investment cycle of growth has been fueled by
the deflating currency in the Far East.

Inflation is low because we have been importing deflation from the world as
the fuel for our expansion.

Makin says:
"Ive been exploring for some time the possibility that a major deflationary
impulse coming out of Asia - the evidence for which starts with a series
of competitive devaluations begun by China in 1994 and extends to the current morass"

This has a lot to do with our 7 years of GROWTH.
As for the future, our 7 year investment expansion may lead to too much
capacity and a market saturated with inexpensive goods.

"The symptons of overinvestment are declining profit margins and an inability to command
adequate prices to compensate producers for the cost of making those additions to capacity"

Watch for Earnings Declines in global companies...

What are some of your favorite themes for the next 10 yrs?

Your comments appreciated.
