<<The thank you note was lovely
Well-of course it was! What else would you expect from a son raised by you?
Thank yous are a battle around here-I insist on handwritten---CW wants to e-mail all the relatives. It makes no sense to him to sit down with a little card and pen and spend money on stamps. And he doesn't see why it makes it "nicer" or more "personal"...For him computers are very personal.

I've tried to stress writing a note that doesn't just say-"Thank you for the _____. It is very nice." Right now he has mono and has been pretty sick. His grandmother sent him a care package yesterday and he immediately e-mailed her--cc'ing me so that I would know he'd done it already, and before I could pull out the man-type stationary:

>Dear G-Mom,
> Thanks so much for your box of goodies! I feel better already, who needs these false medical doctors when a grandmother can provide a true healing through sugar.
> I will reluctantly share the healing items with Adam to prevent anti-fillial thoughts from entering his head, lord knows I don't need him atttempting murder over here.
Love, Christian

I'm so proud.
