MARIO: Thank you for your kindness. Admittedly, I deserve some heat, and won't whine. Your arguments and some others, including Bouhafa (who has come up with new info), and the way the price acted yesterday, have convinced me that selling was a bad decision. Accordingly, I will be back in today, full bore, very chastened. It was primarily the departure of Wooddy that spooked me. Geneat

No. I'm not into day trading or short term trading, except in options, which I use as a hedge to protect my long position or just to tune up for Vegas. I pratice setting goals based on my homework and adhering to a strict and discipline approach of taking those profits when those goals are met.

Geneat got spooked. Frankly I viewed the Woody announcement as a non-event. He is, but one person out of thousands of good people that work in the patch. At his age and expierence, he is in the catbird seat becoming a consultant. Labor market is real tight in the oil E&P industry.

I also look at broad indicators such as the commodity markets, foriegn exchanges, currency and economy. I'm up every morning at 4:30 reading and listening to business news and world events. I devote at least an hour (more like two) everynight to research and charting.

However, I don't get wrapped up in daily press releases. Then again, my money isn't devoted to penny stocks or the momentum players stock du jour. I do set aside a small portion of my portfolio for the risky side of things, such as AIPN and options. Then again, each to their own. Frankly, I've been buying Ascend around the $25-27 the past few days. I figure them to be back over $40 within the next 6-12 months.

The only news of significances to me is an agreement with another partner on this lease and then drilling the wells. The selling part of this lease will raise the stock up to 8-10 range and then the wells will make or break it. In between those two events will be sideways and choppy trading that could test the $4 level before the wells are drilled as further results from other blocks in the Caspian region could be reported.
