From what I've been hearing lately government sector employees average higher compensation than private, which was not the case for my entire career.

In exchange for lower pay we got security, and retirement and health benefits.

It is not fair for government employees to get higher pay AND higher fringe benefits than private sector.

The Republican ideas of developing interstate competition and lower tort claims would have gone a long way to making things easier on folks. Now those who pay will pay more and those who benefit but don't pay will benefit more.

Not to mention the 30 million NEW people who will be getting health care at the expense of all the others.
