PS. Anyway we slice it though we're going to have to deal with the fact that there's no free lunch anymore in health care.

There really never has been. And these days employers are cutting off health benefits left and right. Premiums have been going through the roof. I am hoping these changes will provides some stability and slow the rising costs.

Vintner, the concept you keep forgetting is that we live in a society.

Other Wesern nations undertand this and form their societies to make healh care part and parcel, integral to the health of the society. It is not only moral it is in the societies best interest because a healthy populace makes for a strong society.

Think of an ancient tribe who had to fight animlas and other tribes to stay safe. If the society took care of the injured and ill it made it stronger.

The new anthropologists believe it takes a strong and developed mind to conceptualize a whole bunch of people they never met as being their responsiility.

The right wing stumles on that concept.

However that form of thinking is the future of civilzation.
