Bill,

Sub $1000 will be like training wheels for the beginner. Once exposed to the world of the web...buyers will crave computing power, multitasking, and all the bells and whistles they can afford.

It's the other way around. P-IIs are for beginners. Once exposed to the world wide wait, buyers will crave for sub-$1,000 PCs and $$$ they have blown on their dinosaur.

But there is hope. Their overpriced boxes will be worth less than $1,000 within a year.

Joe

Don't forget that the original IBM PC was supposed to be the big iron equivalent to training wheels. I am not suggesting that Intel has the old IBM's hubris, but it's something INTC investors should bear in mind.
