Ted, > The answer: too many people are uninsured and don't pay their bills.

Think about that for a minute. Either people are uninsured because they can't afford it or they choose not to pay.

If they can't afford it, we're going to be stuck with their bill one way or another.

True....and I haven't seen the numbers but isn't it better to know what your paying for.....monthly premiums......and budget accordingly, or to wait until someone runs up a bill of $100K and then the next poor sucker like me walks in and gets a huge hospital bill for a minor thing?

If they can afford it, the fact that they don't pay their bills just means they willing to dodge their legal obligations. And with ObamaCare specifically prohibiting enforcement, they're not going to change their ways.

Let me see.....if you don't get your wife to the hospital, she's going to die. Are you going to sit and deliberate over whether you should take her or not because you know you won't be able to pay the bill? I don't think so.
