Mason, I'm never sorry to sell at a profit. :)

My strategy involves minimizing exposure. (Not saying whether or not I always achieve that, though! :) ) I am out of the market more than I am in. I am not trying to grab all of a move, and I am not disappointed when I don't. I am looking for only part of each move - that part which, in my judgement, has the lowest risk.

I do agree with your assesment of where TER is likely to go in the short-term (over the next week or so.)

Some of the equipment stocks have now done complete "U-turns". I expect those that haven't yet (except the dogs) to do the same, and at least get back to where they were before the drop. I will take clues from the leaders to see if we will get any higher than that.

Mason,

Please explain this comment:

Anyway, TER is going up because it's underfollowed and the analysts are just getting around to figuring out how it stands in relationship to the strengths and weaknesses of the wafer fab segment.

According to First Call, there are 10 analysts following TER! And most of them have probably been following the semiconductor and semi equipment industry for quite a while! Besides, if it so underfollowed, how could TER have made it to nearly $60 earlier this year?

I'm holding some stocks followed by only 2 or 3 analysts, and a couple with no coverage at all. Now they are underfollowed!
