OT: I think you could make it work; you'd probably have to stir it a couple of times as it is heating. It already has all the water distributed in the noodles. As far as I can tell, it just has to hit a certain transition temperature, and then the starch polymerizes almost immediately. Try it with stirring every 60 seconds at first, and see how long it takes. Definitely throw a little olive oil on the noodles to keep 'em from sticking together.
