The 'real' birth certificate is the only OFFICIAL one that the State provides.

What you must mean to say is 'original', (not 'real').

Because the current certificate of birth (provided and certified by the STATE) is completely 'real'. And is recognized as such by every other state in the land, and by every federal agency, by the military, what-have-you.

(It's just not a copy of the old form which is no longer available from the state since they moved to electronic data records some years back.)

But then, that was only the latest of SEVERAL revisions to the state's approved forms that have happened in the past several decades... as you will find has been a normal occurrence for most of the fifty states.
