You're familiar with the concept of making the numbers look good, aren't you? People have gone to jail for doing just that.

Yet when it comes to Congress, making the numbers look good is not only legal, it's also praiseworthy.

That's what the Democrats just did. Even the AP confirmed it, though they spun that fact by saying that the Republicans do it too.
