There is a guy on HGTV with a program called 'Holmes on Homes.' He takes basket case renovations and the show has him groaning about all the stupid, illegal, dangerous, and improper things done by so-called 'contractors.' It's really quite a good learning experience.

I bet the record keeping system required to keep track of work done by contractors takes up 90 percent of the $225 course Neeka has to take.

Bottom Line: It's not safe to assume all contractors are as honest and trustworthy as Neeka and her husband.
