It can't be. In Texas, you don't register for a party. The closest you can come to that is that when you vote in a primary, your name goes on a list so you can't vote in the primary for a different party. So, in a given election cycle, you can vote in either the Republican or Democratic primary but not both. But that isn't the same as being a registered member of a party. For example, I often vote in the Republican primary because the Democratic candidates never win. That is assuming the Democrats even field a candidate for a given post in a particular election. Does that mean I am a registered Republican?

So when you seen someone claim Stack was a registered Democrat, you know they are talking out of their ass....
