Richard et al--Recently, you helped me out on another matter and I'm hoping you or someone else on this thread can assist me again.First, some background. I use TC2000 as my source and am happy with it. Originally, I had no particular interest in MSWIN since I felt little desire to customize my own indicators. But I wanted to buy the Elwave elliott program out of the Netherlands, which reads Metastock format but not TC directly. So, I bought both it and MSWIN 6.5. I installed MSWIN last night (I haven't loaded any data yet).----I have 3 questions----Question 1 refers to importing my TC data (1250 stocks on a P200) using the basic Downloader which came with the 6.5 program. Equis sales told me that this was probably the better way rather than using TC's datacon program, partly because the 6.5 version can handle 2000 stocks in 1 directory, whereas the datacon might still be back on the 255 limit?). In using the DL, do I simply have to type in "C:\TC2000" as my source folder or do I have to go furthur and specify a particular file within the folder(e.g."C:\TC2000\Propak" etc?----Question 2 is about the MSWIN program. In reading the "10 Steps to Productivity" last night that came with the program, my impression is that I have to reload an indicator back onto the price chart every time I want to switch to a new chart (as disticnct from TC which holds the chosen indicator in default and displays it automatically after i simply type in a new stock symbol). if this is so, it seems awfully time consuming. Is this correct?---- Question 3 is about enabling the elwave program to read my metastock formatted files. The Elwave manual says "the first time you import a file the program does not know where to find your metastock files, so you will have to specify the directory by double clicking it", In the accompanying letter to me from Elwave, it was furthur stated that "your Metastock files need the "*.DOP" files in order to load correctly". When I loaded the MSWIN program, the installation process said that the "folder" where the program was going to be put in was "C:\Equis"--my question therefore is, what do I type in as where my metastock files are located? What does "*DOP" mean? ----regards Gary Burton.
