Although I agree... I also think that the "environment at that time" is a more proper way to look at it... with the church being part of that environoment. How BIG a part is certainly interesting I suppose... I think large, but I don't argue that point... don't care at this point. To me the more interesting point is that at LEAST the church was infused with all the misery and nastiness of the times... while they CLAIM to be a "torch", or a source of light. This business that they stood outside it all and held the torch of truth is really quite a testiment as to the lengths people will go to in the name of image. DAK
