speak of the devil and he doth appear:

“There’s a lot of talk building up toward employment gains that could make it possible the Fed could raise rates by the end of the year,” Crescenzi said in an interview on Bloomberg Radio. “The ‘extended period’ phrase is becoming more conditional in terms of what could force the hand.” bloomberg.com

When the S&P500 hits 1500, and the Fed has raised rates 5 or 6 times in a row, and 10Y Treasury rates are 6% and keep going up, I'll be 100% cash, or else fully hedging any long positions with shorts. I'm seriously thinking about beginning to accumulate GDX (gold miners) whenever it dips to its 200dma. Never bought gold before, but its starting to make sense.
