They needed the money? I sell stocks at a loss many times when I know
they will go up. I just need the cash now!

I checked out Edgar-Online and found no insider sales in Cymer during the month of October. Not one share.

I must assume then your question is hypothetical. I suppose if Edgar-Online did list Form 144 sales it might mean anything you'd like. Its your story.

Has anyone else heard of insider selling or is this just another lame attempt to shave another point or two off Cymie?

Hua: Yeah, first looking at the total it's a grand sum 12 thou shares.
Hardly anything to sneeze at because they aren't even insider sales. Here's the URL; look at the note for a designation of U:

insidertrader.com

The definition of a person noted as U is below:

U - Unknown. Usually the result of a form that was not filled in properly.

Looks like some more tricky baloney Hua. Incidentally, not bad for your one, only and SOLE post on all of SI.

Good Luck To Each And All

Just checked StockSmart's web page. Insider selling was 4 nobody's selling a total of 12,000 shares. Insignificant and irrelevant.

Hue,

-you wrote-
"Between Oct 5 - Oct 23 (the price range 27 - 32), there are 5 144 filings."

That's not at all what I show:

stocksmart.com

From the table at the above site I only see non-company type shareholders as being the ones that might have sold on those dates. Besides that the company executives would not have been allowed to sell due to the fact that the quarter was over but the results were not yet public. Probably on the 25th(or later) of October the company officers would have been able to sell and can probably continue to sell until the end of November. Normally company insiders are not allowed to trade in their own stock until two days after the results of the quarter have been made public. The earnings were released on 23 October BTW. Of course, the same holds true for buying back their own stock -- which is what I hope like hell they are doing as I write this.

Regards...Craig
