The EPA regs regarding lead abatement that went into effect earlier this month are causing mass confusion. If I read the law right, anyone sanding a piece of molding that may have lead somewhere in the substrate has to wear a hazmat suit. I hope I saw that wrong, I need to read through carefully the 73 pages of regs that were faxed to me by the AG's office. The investigator at the AG's office couldn't give me a definitive on anything - apparently nobody knows what the law really means.
