BG, tell us just what is a mobile factory in your opinion? I think we all view it as a sqeaky clean workstation loaded with Map2000 and perhaps other tools (a COBOL compiler would be nice) that is taken through security checks into a secure site and probably is either left in place or carefully purged after the task is complete. Have we missed something here?

BG,

Others have pretty much responded to your post. In my post, I was pretty clear that I had never heard the mobile code factory concept explained in any concrete fashion. If you actually know what these things are supposed to be the thread would certainly like to read about it.

Nonetheless, ZITL management implies that there is something special about these mobile factories that would make ZITL more competitive in the Federal market. As Roger pointed out, the factories are most likely just some workstations that can be shipped and properly sanitized. This doesn't seem like anything that a competitor can't do and so the question again reverts to ZITL and the MD tools. If the factories are anything more elaborate than that we are back to the van, no?

BTW, CIA headquarters is in Langley (and not in McLean) off of Route 7, is it not?
