It is not a good number and it has to be fought tooth and nail, but not unconstitutionally. However, the entire border violence thing is hyped beyond all reason. Pretty much most law officers think it is overhyped. That does not mean it shouldn't be stopped. It looks like Phoenix as the kidnap capital was pretty much made up by ABC, then fed steroids by Glenn Beck. Though it is hard to get kidnapping stats that are reliable. More than any other crime, it is underreported. "Call the cops and we'll send your child's head back in a paper bag." And it is sometimes combined with breaking and entering, assault, murder, etc.

I would like to see some other stuff. Are the victims themselves drug dealers? Or are they just crooks who hire illegals? Or, as one article said, are the victims, themselves, illegal? That sounds illogical, but, I suppose it could be true.
