This is just a matter of sitting with this stock as the new year will bring plenty of fresh enthusiasm for new technology to grab hold of. Many companies will want to enter new frontiers to develop faster web servers. Imagine real time video distribution systems delivering movies on demand, all linked up to HUGE terabit storage systems playing out gigabytes of information every second. It will definitely play out in favor of fiber channel. Ancor will be part of that phenomenal growth, and may spawn into a huge networker. But don't count out the current big boys. They won't miss out on any real action for one second. I believe that Ancor will go it alone until it FC gets real big and then it will be the buyout target of a larger company looking to immediately jump into the game with a product and plenty of R&D experience in FC-AL.

My advice is just hold this stock as its day is still to come.

Roger A.

Have all the 'real longs' of this thread got together and decided
that JB's hype tactic might help the stock price?

>>>I agree with your comments about ANCR being an undiscovered stock. Promotion is paramount and Ancor seems to have fallen through the cracks with respect to promotion.<<<

I'm not so sure this is an undiscovered stock. I just went down the list of communication stocks here on SI and was somewhat surprised to see Ancor in an elite realm of most stocktalk activity. There are lots of posts to this site, 12,000+, even more chat activity than Cisco. I wonder what this indicates for the potential of the stock value. Do most network savy investor tend to flock to the stocks with the most potential? Or does hype not equate to stock value?
Any comments?

FWIW, a friend of mine who follows Boston Scientific left me the following message today:

"The positive attribute of insider buying can been observed in some of the price action in Boston Scientific today as not only was the company upgraded to a buy from UBS but an analyst from Montgomery Securities noted that the CEO Pete Nichols bought 1 Million shares last week ( the share price ranged from 44 1/4 to 49 3/4, so you have to figure he purchased about $47,000,000 dollars of his company ), "this shows a real sign of confidence that this
company is headed upward" said analyst Kurt Kruger. When that news came out 1/2 hour before the close the stock was coming off the high of 52 3/4 and was around 51 3/4, it then rallied on about 322500 shares to close up to 53 3/8".

As most market followers are aware, Boston Scientific has been absolutely hammered in the past 2 months as a result of a quarterly earnings warning and subsequent guidance of analyst expectations downward in the upcoming quarters. Insider buying has had an obvious positive impact to re-establishing investor confidence in BSX.
BTW, I seriously doubt if anyone at ANCR has the kind of $$$ to buy the amount stock that Pete Nichols just bought.

Mr. Goodrich,

I sincerely hope you are correct in your four quarter prediction of $41.00, as I bought my second dose of ANCR at that level. My first (and definatly more rational) purchase was at $23.00. I have, against my better judgement, been averaging down with most of my shares now purchased between $5.00 and $7.00

In my opinion, a very low float, coupled with hype (both positive and negative; here and on motley fool) and an ever expanding demand for products, makes this a truly interesting investment. The price potential, even with the additional shares we are begining to see at
market, is tremendous. Although I do not like the risks involved with
small caps, this is definately my favorite holding and the first I
gaze at in my portfolio. I think that there are many others, here, like myself. I also imagine that we, along with those bound by contract, are the only people still invested and likely not to sell. My only concern with price, at this point, is that contracts come before those bound by contract are free to sell.I believe that we are
now at rock bottom again. The only time, in my recollection, that investor moral was lower, was when we were reading posts that contained requests for first dibs on O'Hara's ashtray, when the furnishings would be sold. The ANCR investing core are a hardend, tough lot that have seen much bleaker horizons. We are truly, one or two contracts away from a 10 point jump in price. Hang in there, tough guy
