Gold just hit 1,200.00 Canadian!!! I would never short gold.

Why would you do that when all currencies are going down against it? Gold is a protection not something to trade. There are far better things to trade out there.

I guess being in Canada is a protection from taxes on it or confiscation. If you happen to think that this is in the cards for the USA then you better get out while the gettins good. If the US tries to tax it or call it in the USD will drop like a lead balloon. Oh I forgot, it is.

I think you made a mistake shorting gold.

Gold has regained almost all its losses from this morning and has been acting extremely well considering the surge in th buck.

Even a modest drop in the buck could easily lift gold to $1300 IMHO.
