The differences between 386, 486, 586, Pentium are not that great.

Really!!. When did multiple instruction/clock, improved floating point, MMX etc.. not make a difference.

The MediaGX is single instruction/clock, sucks in floating point and has no L2 cache, is basically a decade old technology, with bandaid.

Re -- 486/120 probably vastly outperforms P60. It doesn't make it a Pentium, butit makes it a better performing chip.

Well, the alpha is a better performing chip. Who cares. The fact that the MediaGX is positioned as a pentium equivalent when it is a 486
is duping the customer.
