Ted, > Then why do you support the AZ law?

A consistent rule of law has to be maintained. If we don't want to enforce immigration law, then we should just open up the borders and give legal residency to anyone who asks.

You are suggesting that the choice is the AZ law or chaos. However, that's not true. There are several other options.....like sueing the fed. gov't instead of passing a law that is blatantly racist and only making things worse.

Ignoring the less fortunate only hurts that social order.

The less fortunate are not ignored in a limited government. Their rights and freedoms are secured by the Constitution just like everyone else's.

My undestanding is that your idea of limited gov't essentially ignores the plight of the less unfortunate. Is that my misunderstanding? And if so, what would you offer the less fortunate under a limited gov't?

You still need to figure out the difference between "free as in speech" and "free as in beer."

Huh? Why should I try to understand something that doesn't make much sense.
