Not leaving for Asheville until next weekend. Can't come soon enough! My second full week vacation in almost 8 years ... I'm getting too old for this shit. How 'bout this market? My bet is the crash was pure manipulation. A couple of hedge fund managers got together and said "ok guys lots of fear out there when I give the high sign we attack I'll go after P&G sell it and short it to nail the Dow, Joe you go after the futures, Pete you buy dollars and treasuries and sell the crap out of the Euro. We hit it all at the same moment and it will trigger all the program trades and all the equity stops will hit the market at the same time. Then when we get close to 1k down in the Dow we close and reverse... BAM!!! We make a billion each in a1/2 hour. We know how to hide our trades the SEC will be dumbfounded". Or something like that....
