Gary,

I want break down of units sold and not terms like 'best selling' which is not quantitative.

This may be informative, but it covers only US retail:

news.com

So what would you say would be this 14.4M break down ? How many of them are CPUs for sub 1000 ? 2M ? 4M ?

I was looking for a breakdown of Intel's sales by chip and clock speed during last quarter earnings announcement, but I could not find it. My guess is that a good percentage of desktop P-MMX 166 and below went to sub-1000 market. I don't know what this percentage is.
