The problem is the politicians spending opm like there's no tomorrow. Electorates demand it. There is your problem. All our great and estimable idol Alan Green$pan KBE did was keep the US$ more or less steady as she goes, while diluting it, because taxes are intended to extract wealth, and currency dilution is a traditional means of robbing people, and enjoying the enormous profits of control. I'm a proponent of my "new money" but not electorates destroying the productive people as slaves to their sense of entitlement. I'm all for sound money and intend to create it, out of thin air. No gold required. Electorates and politicians tend to NOT like sound money [though they might say they do]. In fact what they like is opm and dilution of state run fiat currencies is a good way to get it. The problems can be easily solved if electorates stop demanding opm and most of the government employees get real jobs more suited to their talents. But slave drivers like having slaves and the kleptocratic suffocatocracy LIKE doing that. So they won't stop until somebody stops them. Electorates are too stupid to stop them - on the contrary, they insist on them. Look at the Greeks for example. The Alan Greenspan money system was okay, but the politicians went berserk spending money they didn't have, promising social security and pensions which they can't pay. Now Obamacare is going to do free medical care for everyone. $1 trillion here, a $trillion there - it's starting to add up.... The problems have nothing to do with Green$pan though he was a bit tardy in raising interest rates. But that was a minor matter. You can read my Mindless Zombie stream from way back in 2002 if you want to understand the problem. Mqurice
