Whales are still hunted. ------------------------------------------------ "We're not gambling the nations ecology anymore than we would be with any other energy source" Compare any of these with drill baby drill.... We have coal, gas, solar, wind, nuclear, photovoltaic, battery, water, geothermal And there are environmental costs with everything. Lots of toxic materials obtained only by intrusive, energy intensive mining are needed for photovoltaic and batteries.
