Congress gets opened with prayers. I don't much care for them doing that (specially since they've never invited a wiccan in), but I'm not interested in changing it unless they stick to one view of one religion. The right loves to bring in Catholics if it is around abortion, and I don't recall an uproar from people that their opinion didn't matter. course when the nuns have a different view on HRC, oh noooooooo those lil women piping up. There are riligious leaders of many sects of different religions who have worked for years on immigration reform. people have had to put up with Catholics and certain churches pushing the debate about certain things for years. why the worry unless it is just certains don't like the opinion certains have on this issue? No Church is making the law, or the national law according to their religious law. they are advocating for those in need. And NOW might have lost status to say anything in the minds of some people. not me. but then... life and decisions are not black and white. but that's a dead horse. frankly... if the right is in a tizzie that an 'evil leftie' is speaking with, and more importantly that some religious figures are speaking with the 'evil leftie'... I find it just a lil amusing. when a stranger comes unto yer land, treat 'em like one of yer own - to paraphrase very loosely.
