But BP was on the mind of the writer, and somehow that looped into whether or she is 'compassionate'. are you 'compassionate'? would you give up your 170K put into SS for the sake of the children? yes, let us not 'change' the subject, but tell me what you think is compassionate, as you have mentioned that is what matters to you.

I've read that up to ninety percent of the massive BP Gulf oil spill is still underwater. The extent of the kill zone is far greater in total volume than anything seen yet on the surface. The economic, ecological and health problems will be far beyond what happened up in Alaska after the Exxon Valdez spill. Disasters on this scale are often responsible for the radical transformation of a civilization. We'll see.
