Agreed. The day of the swoosh, some folks came over for dinner and bemoaned the carnage in their retirement and other equity focused funds. I'm not sure why they ask me to join them in bemoaning the situation. Every time they do I grin and note that we were net positive for the day due to a solid concentration in gold. The second I mention gold, they shut up as though I've just farted in the room and not noticed it, or something worse.

Besides....as I said, it's Prechter. What's his track record as a percentage of calls/trades made?

Re : "Where does Prechter get his 98% bullish figure, and on what is it based?"

I cannot remember which thing it was.

It was a service that I have heard of many times before.

Investor's Intelligence (?)

Market Vane (?)

Futures Intelligence (?)

--------------------------

I remember that this same service reported about 97% or 98% of people all "foaming" on interest rates (a few years) ago.

They were all wrong then, too.

Jon.
