The only hope for the GOM wildlife, BP, and the economy is that the guys who look at the paperwork are competent and do the job to the best of their ability.

The implications of shutting down that oil well, just from reading the comments, would not be good.

I really would like to examine the safety documentation that GS and Bernankie put together for all the "financial engineering" over the last few years.

I think the principle Risk Assessment Form will be a real doozie of the talent we have looking after the economy.
