Oh bummer! When I was a child I had a rubber band powered model piper cub. I imagine it could be done on a larger scale.
Or we could launch large commercial gliders that could be towed up high into the atmosphere to ride the wind currents. We could even have large private gliders for the likes of algore and company.
"If there is a will there is a way."

Hmmm Virgin Gliders I like that concept. I imagine they could even charge more being they are greener.
A surprise vacation. Hop aboard and vacation where ever the winds take you. There is no guarantee we will be able to get you home on time, or if we can even get you home again.
We can even have large sail powered cruise ships. For exercise we can even have a deck for those who would like to row. Cruise the carribbean and grow muscles and lose weight.
We could convert all our naval vessels to wind driven sail vessels and oar power too. We could do this to be an example for the other nations to follow.

don't worry! Be happy!

Battery operated planes are not clean. Lots of bad stuff in those batteries.
