I read Johnson's bio. He was a POW and recipient of the Silver Star, among other decorations. He served in both Korea and Vietnam.

Because I have met someone who falsely claimed the Silver Star and Distinguished Service Cross, I have taken to researching such claims when I see them.

Yes, I already knew about him and his outstanding USAF career.

I did not know he has 2 silver stars. Very unusual for a USAF pilot.
