This is a more detailed look at Bookings and Billings comparing the results for 2009 and 2010. Bookings for the first 4 months of 2010 are only 872M less than the total for all of 2009. Bookings for April were 479 percent greater than April of 2009. For the first 4 months of this year, Bookings are 405 percent better than the first 4 months of 2009. Billings are following Bookings in the upward spiral though not as large in percentage terms. Since Billings are less than Bookings, Backlog is building on a monthly basis which is always a nice position for businesses to be in. Compared to the first 4 months of last year, Billings are up 125 percent.

You can just consider that I automatically recommend all your tables, even if I sometimes forget. Thanks for all your years of work. I think in numbers, so I love screens full of colored numbers, like my dog loves his chew-toy. Trough to peak bookings: 8 months, 11/01 to 7-02 11 months, 7/03 to 6/04 17 or 9 months, 1/05 or 9/05, to 6/06 ??? months, 3/09 to ??? The average of those 4 data points (8, 11, 17, 9) is 11 months. The current upturn has lasted 13 months so far. If the current upturn last as long as the longest of them, 17 months, the peak in bookings will be in August 2010.
