> What would you have him do that he hasn't done?

There are things that could have been done. Jindal has, for days, been trying to get the Corps of Engineers to approve a plan to use sand to protect certain areas, and the Corps is unresponsive. Obama could solve that problem.

What is the reason the Corps has been unresponsive?

Obama was asked by BP during the early days of this event for assistance, repeatedly. Instead, the administration got "angry" like 3-year old children who had their toys taken away.

Link please.

The oil, thus far, has given Obama a reprieve by staying offshore. If it ends up coming ashore (which may or may not happen in sizable quantities), questions are going to be asked about what might have been done NOW to protect the injured regions.

And what is it that Obama could have done? Be specific.

What is amazing to me is the Obama administration's need to blame someone. There is no, "The Buck Stops Here" as there was was with other presidents. It is constantly the whining and blaming others like a schoolkid whose dog peed on his homework.

On the contrary, they are very upset and understand they are responsible. Hence, the frustration. BP is delaying once again the top kill but there is no explanation as to why. Its shocking to me that with all the hurricanes the GOM has gown through BP does not have an effective emergency plan to deal with a rogue oil well. Whatever contingencies they had in place have proven to be very ineffectual and there efforts to implement those contigencies weak at best.

Its clear that when this is over every oil company dealing in the US and its waters needs to submit their emergency plans for review. Oil people seem to have the competency level of an idiot.

I would just like to have an adult in the White House. At this point I don't much care who it is as long as this turkey moves out.

That's what the election in 2008 was all about......we got rid of the kid.

It's the lib way to deal with guilt. And seriously O is way out of his league on this. He's a lawyer and community organizer. So he sends lawyers and tries to play the blame game.
