>>>>Did the Lord commend the unjust steward???!!<<<

My way of thinking, no he did not .. However it shows to me the affection that the Lord has for the sinner. Jesus is your best friend waiting patiently in the shadows. He just "flat out" likes people and understands them.. non judgemental...understanding how they have been blinded.. and we as Christians should be the same way.

Yes the scripture is very clear Christians should use our earthly gain to glorify God. I was talking to a man the other day about a good Christian man that had died..he said , you know, my daughter works at the ---------- restaurant and she thought that he was a great friendly person but he never left her a tip....

I thought to myself.....how tragic....what kind of witness did the man really leave behind.....the money was the LEAST of what he could have left the waitress.........so he probably was lax in the "true riches ".

I encourage all Christians to show the world that money is the LEAST of our RICHES...... In Christ...........gregor

Barry,

Let me throw a couple of things out at you that have weighed heavily on my mind today.

Do Christians who post on Silicon Investor have a special responsibility about what we post?

How about when we hype or trash a stock either intentionally or unintentionally and someone who reads our post lose money because they acted upon what we said and it turns out to be wrong?

Matthew 25:25 says "I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me." (NIV) Could one paraphrase this passage to say "I tell you the truth, whatever you did to the least of these you have done unto me"?

As a Christian when does an investment become so speculative that it becomes poor stewartship? Is it good stewartship to leverage our investments?
