i thought line card slots were at a premium also, otherwise the telco would just add more line cards and relieve the contention for dialtone. if a CDSL card offers only one voice line per card, will its revenue potential vs. adding another 4-line voice card justify the investment? if it offers no voice line?

i must've missed the announcement of an industry standard for DSLAMs that would make this possible.
