What difference does it make. AMD can't produce them in any significant quantities. So the 1 or 2 IBM (not AMD) K6's that are sold, will have to compete with a similar or less price Compaq or PacBell.

IBM, is once again late to the game, won't be able to sell any of these things.

Its a lose-lose product for IBM and AMD. I suspect IBM jumped into bed with K6 a few months ago and couldn't withdraw.

IBM makes the 6x86MX and doesn't even use it in their own products!
