I spent two years in Valdez coordinating that oil spill, so I may know a bit more than you. You were a bureaucrat. Someone who is very ignorant about the technical aspects of plugging a well at that depth. Bureaucrats, such as in the MMS, are not only corrupt but land us into disastrous situations with their decisions. Obama, by training, has demonstrated laudable skills in prioritizing issues during a crisis. Your solution: "bring in supertankers and take away resources and energy and let oil spew"!!! Your approach is similar to "Go fight the terrorists in Iraq even though the source of terrorism is in Afghanistan." Sounds familiar?
