as long as you maintain .dop files which will be done by datacon or downloader by checking Box, see tools/application options/general

Maintain F*.DOP files. Deselect this option if you are using your security files exclusively with Equis International software (i.e., MetaStock or Pulse). There are a few third party software programs that require the F*.DOP files. Since F*.DOP files are not required by Equis International's software, not maintaining them will reduce the amount of hard disk space the security files occupy.

Note that this option only affects newly created security files. F*.DOP files for existing security files are not affected.

MSWIN has best help files in the business.

Think you misread my post, Gary. It's not that "Elwave can't read the Tc converted to MS files"--it can, but that Elwave probably can't read the new >255 ticker dir structure offered by MSWIN 6.x. You said you bought it initially to convert TC files and now know you don't need it for that--hence my suggestion that you consider returning it.

(I have it, WOW Pro, and SuperCharts reading the Q+R2 datafeed, but only two hands--so not all get used to their fullest.)
