...I find it hard to believe that they cannot drill oil and do so safely. These oil hungry folks circumvented safety measures, probably paid off some of the safety inspectors and now we have a catastrophe....

It was my gut reaction then and is based on my experience growing up in a Third World country and experiencing how things were done there. I would never have dreamt that after 35 years, this country would be following the lead set by a Third World country.

Here goes France down the tubes. I thought France was doing much better compared to the UK, Ireland or Italy.

LONDON (Reuters) - France admitted on Sunday that keeping its top-notch credit rating would be "a stretch" without some tough budget decisions, following German hints that Berlin may resort to raising taxes to help bring down its deficit.
